Gift: Wisdom– With the gift of wisdom, we see God at work in our lives and in the world. For the wise person, the wonders of nature, historical events, and the ups and downs of our lives take on deeper meaning. The matters of judgment about the truth, and being able to see the whole image of God.
Reading: The LORD will guard you from all evil, will always guard your life. The LORD will guard your coming and going both now and forever. (Psalm 121:7-8)
Observation: This morning, I am feeling that these two verses are speaking to the fact that no matter what situation we find ourselves in, the Lord is standing beside us to guard us from the foe. I feel like this doesn’t mean that we will be perfect, as he is perfect, but our imperfections will not be magnified by falling into greater evil through the prompting of the evil one. It is like God is saying to me this morning, your flesh is bad enough, I will not let it get worse than that.
Personification: Humility (Gentleness) – An inner strength that permits us to be aware of our own abilities without having to make a show of them. With the fruit of humility, it will be easy to lead more people to Jesus. It will be my focus today and forever to display the fruit of humility with the grace and peace of our gentle Lord to lead the way.
