We need not be concerned about those who would lead others to sin…

The beginning of Eucharistic Adoration...

Gift:  Wisdom– With the gift of wisdom, we see God at work in our lives and in the world. For the wise person, the wonders of nature, historical events, and the ups and downs of our lives take on deeper meaning. The matters of judgment about the truth, and being able to see the whole image of God.

Reading:  The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will collect out of his kingdom 21 all who cause others to sin and all evildoers.  (Matthew 13:41)

Mass with Archbishop of San Diego...

Observation:  It seems to me that there are plenty of people in the church that concern themselves with the fact that some priests and religious may be leading others to sin by their words and actions that are contrary to the teachings of the church.  However, I am hearing in this reading this morning that we need not be concerned with judgment of these people, as well as anyone else for that matter, because in the final judgment of our Lord, anyone who leads others to sin will be dealt with.  I will leave it to you to read the end of the reading today to see what will become of them.

Personification:  Faith/Fidelity – The ability to stick to our work and to stay firm in our commitment to God and to God’s people with whom we are connected.  It would be awesome if I could stay connected to the people from the confernence to allow the work that began in me this weekend to continue.  In order to display the fruit of faith/fidelity, I will need to stick to the work that we talked about doing while we were in San Diego and see it through to completion with the guidance and inspiration of the holy Spirit.

Prayer:  Lord, help me to stay firm in my commitment to follow through with the work that began in San Diego and stay faithful to the Word of God at all times.  I ask this, as always, in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy Spirit.  Amen.
