Gift:  Understanding – With the gift of understanding, we comprehend how we need to live as a follower of Jesus Christ. A person with understanding is not confused by all the conflicting messages in our culture about the right way to live.

Reading:  Therefore, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for one another.  (1 Corinthians 11:33)

4 Therefore, I did not consider myself worthy to come to you; but say the word and let my servant be healed.  (Luke 7:7)

Observation:  So today, while preparing to lead our little communion service at the small chapel at our church this morning, I was led to this two verses.  The Word of God is truly amazing to show me the exact verses that would speak to the parishioners that will join me for communion service this morning.

Personification:  Kindness – The strength of Christ’s love which leads us to a greater service.  I will attempt today to display the fruit of kindness today to everyone that I meet.  No matter how I feel about the way I may have been treated by people in the past, I will continue to reach out to them in the spirit of kindness that comes from the Lord.

Prayer:  Lord, help me display the fruit of kindness that comes to me because I am aware of the sincere love that it must have taken for my Lord and Savior to die for my sins.  Please continue to remind me that I am not worthy to have him come to me, but only continue to say the Words and I will be healed.  I ask this, as always, in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy Spirit.  Amen.
